Check engine light and oil leak?
Hi all,
I was scheduled to bring my car in for a camber and toe alignment and then last night my car decided to turn on the check engine light. Great, I thought. I checked under the hood to make sure nothing was leaking or loose.
This morning, I bring it in to have them do the alignment and tell them to add on the check engine light.
I get home and find that there is a oil spot, maybe two or three drops of oil in a crater in the driveway. I think to myself, !@#$. I had the headgasket replaced about a year ago...this wouldn't start to leak again, would it? It was a costly job, and I don't want to pay another $1200 to get it fixed. Where else can a leak produce and cause the CEL light to come on? Thanks for your help guys.

found out it was the "throttle actuator plate" or something along those lines that was very dirty...hasn't been cleaned since the car was bought, about 10 years ago :p
