Question Check Engine Light

Hi. I have CEL on my 05 c230ss K.
Before i say anything about codes from OBD codes
I wana say that car was not driving for 5/6 months only thing i woul do is start the car and leave it running for 30min and shut it of. I did not drive the car do to snow and ****y weather here in ohio.
Now back to CEL. AutoZone guy told me it was p0171 and p0128.
When light came on i was on freeway going for road trip to PA. 2 hours from Ohio. Car runns fine no sounds from engine or anything. Car temp is good not over heating . Starts good drives good . I know p0171 is MAF or O2 sensor and ECT ( i dont know what ECT is) and p0128 is thermostart issues.
But agine car runns good. City or Freeway i all good.
When i came to PA i stopt in autozone reset the CEL but came back next day. Could it be do to car siting in garage for so long and i only had lil gas in gas tank . Or maybe when i pull the car out of garage i put full gas tank (93gas ) and i was on my way to road trip.
Any help or anyone that knows what could it be so i dont have to go to dealership for something stupid and eazy fix. I did spray CRC on MAF sensor but check engine is still there unless i have to reaset it now an see if is gona come back. And coolant tank is full.
Thank you All for help

Answer

2005 C230 SPORT KOMPRESSOR

My best guess: The mass air flow sensor and coolant thermostat and/or temp sensor are failing.

Replace the thermostat first, it's a basic maintenance item, easy to do and cheap.
Since you tried to clean the MAF using CRC, and it did not fix the issue, a new unit will probably be needed.
