Surging 600SEL

My '92' 600SEL engine surges mostly when there isn't much of a load on it. It will vary about 100-200 rpm on the tach and is felt even with the cruise on. When decelerating from around 40 mph down, the tach will bounce around 300-500 rpm and you can really feel the engine pulsate with the tach. Any ideas?

Answer

I suggest you Google search "MB Wiring Harness Failure".

Mercedes has declined to acknowledge the engine wiring harness defect in the 1991-1996 model years.

Not sure if you got my email but did that awhile ago! Thank you for the reply though. I'm new to this site so I am still trying to figure out how it works!
