Hello all, I just bought an 87 w126 (my first MB) with what was described as a "small" leak coming from one of the injector line fittings on the IP. When I looked at it, I did not see much diesel in that area so figured it wasn't real serious. Well, after purchasing the car and driving it 150 miles home, the leak is a little more serious than I had thought. It seems to be leaking from the actual top of the IP below one or two of the fittings that the lines attach to. After digging thoroughly through the maintenance records on the car (like I should have done before I purchased it

) I see the previous owner had it looked at and the dealership recommended an IP rebuild. Does anybody know if this is indeed the case, or are there seals in those fittings I can change myself? I come from a family of mechanics, so I consider myself relatively handy mechanically, but I am not interested in totally rebuilding the pump myself. If it does need a rebuild, how much should I expect to pay for it? The dealership the previous owner took it to quoted 2200, but that seems a little high to me. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any advice you all may have.
