Program codes into new SAM

I am retrofitting an OEM Bi-Xenon headlight into a 2011 E350 Cabriolet and I was told that it is not possible to program the headlight codes (example:615-active curve, 622-ILS, 619-Corner lighting) into the new SAM unit (or the control modules for the headlights.) Since the codes are not on my original datacard I can't add features after manufacture? I hope this is not true. I've gone to a lot of trouble to install leveling sensors, headlight washers, OEM parts etc.

Mercedes is making it harder to change things by using online coding.

Not sure if this is the case or not, but if worse comes to work just have someone with Netstar access update your datacard and program your SAM.

Thanks Adam... looks like I need to find a friend in some MB dealership. Do they have discretion to add a code to my datacard which will then allow the special headlight codes to be programmed into SAM?

Yes, adding options the datacard is easy. They just need access to do it.

In DAS you can go into the read coding and change if necessary. There will be a line that says Xenon and a you can change that to present. You may also have to code the CGW also

Looking to add:
Code 615 - Bi-Xenon with Active Curve Light
Code 621 - ILS Intelligent Lighting System (left traffic USA)
Code 619 - Corner lighting + fog lights
Later:
Code 600 - Headlight washer
Code 608 - Multi-function camera

Do you have to set Xenon = Present before these codes can be accepted?
