Roll Bar will not reset

2006 mercedes SL500
Roll Bar will not reset
The roll bar on my 2006 SL500 popped up going over a some railroad tracks. and now will not rest I tried the holding the raise and lower switch for several seconds and also tried disconnecting the battery no luck Any suggestions to get it to reset
