help me pls with my 01 clk430
I spilt my drink on gearshifter now it wont come out of park and my check eng light is on..i got it out of park into drive but it wont shift out of first so I let it dry out for a few days tried it again it worked for a lil bit but when I came to a stop it wouldn't shift out of first again...help pls

The shift/Gear Recognition module is damaged.
Assuming you have the 722.632 transmission, here is the part you need to replace.
Control Unit - Gear Recognition
