Quote: And most likely if the vibration happens when the car is rolling at a certain speed, a vibration can be such things as tires out of balance, tires with blisters, a drive shaft problem, or rear end half shafts if independent rear suspension. If a torque converter is out of balance you can sit in park or neutral and rev the engine up and down and could feel the vibration you don't need to drive to feel that. Also vibrations can be the engine it self, and things like a miss fire or any thing that causes rough engine operation.
What about flex disks? The 2 rubber ones mine would vibrate and shake the car at low rpm when torque is pulling the ecar forward not at full throttle I didn't have time to read through all the comments but just my 2 cents

How old is the battery? If over four years old, replace it. Batteries cause all manner of problems on Mercedes vehicles if the battery is not in perfect condition.

I own a W211, E280, M272 (3.0 V6), 7g-tronic. I post here because I'm encountering similar issues when the engine / transmission is cold. Regardless if I'm in Neutral, Park or Drive, I feel an intense vibration when the engine is between 1900-2200 RPM, with peak point around 2100 RPM. It is not in sync with the RPMs but it occurs at every other 1.5 to 2 seconds or so. The vibration is complemented by a rumble noise (similar to the one from the link below) and it cannot be felt or heard while the engine is idling or if the transmission/engine reaches the operating temperature. Went to the dealership and no errors have been found on the car. Replaced: serpentine belt, pulleys, tensioner, transmission oil/filter, spark plugs. What could be the root cause? Can it be caused by the torque converter?
