Anyone running a Passport 9500ci with Distronic Plus successfully?
Like a dummy, I bought a Passport 9500ci radar detector to replace my 9500i. Reason being was the metallic coating in the windshield was killing my GPS signal on my 9500i and I noticed the radar detecting range was deminished as well. Passport verified that the windshield was the main issue. Sadly, they didn't inform me of the Distronic Plus issue I would have with the 9500ci.
Has anyone managed to shield the histrionic plus sensor on the bottom to keep the false K signals from happening? I have finally gotten sick of it and turned K Band off but K Band is still used here in Florida. Anyone know any secrets or tricks? I can't believe that Passport can't release an update blocking the frequency of the Distronic Plus system. Can't be that hard.
