2013 SLK 200 Vario Roof problems
Hi There,
I wonder if someonecan assist? My wife drives a 2013 SLK 200. She had the car washed at a wash bay and they moved her shoes in the boot and placed one shoe under the left raising arm of the roof inside the boot and the other under the right arm.
She didn't know this and opened the vario roof, it got stuck and broke the plastic arms.
Now my question: Where is the safety in this? If there is an obstruction while opening the roof, should the process not stop? Are there no fail safe features with this? We received a quote from our local dealership to fix this. Besides the two plastic parts that are ridiculously expensive, they also quote 100 units of labour. I am not sure if a unit counts as an hour??
