05 CLS keyfob. Help!
Hey there,
I have a problem, I've searched the internet but cant find a solution.
I recently bought a 2005 CLS 320, when I bought the car I noticed that both remote key and spare key would only unlock the car if held to/near the sensor on the drivers door handle.
Ive recently had an independent merc mechanic service the car and mentioned to him about the key. He checked the signal booster and antenna and said they were both working perfectly, and that it might be that the keys battery is low on power. even though the red led still flashed when a button was pressed.
I changed the battery in the fob and the same result and now sometimes the key will not unlock the car at all.... unless, i take the blade out of the key and use it in the boot/trunk look barrel (as the door barrel feel as if it doesn't engage and will not unlock) which will set the alarm off.. then when held to the door it will unlock the car and turn off the alarm.
Quite the inconvenience.![Shakehead](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/shakehead.gif)
If anyone has had this problem before or know any solutions then let me know.
Apart from that, I love this car.
Thanks
Roscoe
