Manual transmission fluid change interval

MB tells me that the 6 speed manual transmission on my 2002 C230 K Coupe is sealed and requires no service. I've got 30K miles on the vehicle. I'm the sole driver of the vehicle and have owned it since new. I don't buy the sealed for life line.
Other manual transmission vehicles that I've owned (Acura, Toyota, and Mazda) called for a transmission fluid changes at around 60K miles. When should I consider changing the transmission (and differential) fluid in my C230?

Well, not sealed for life but there is no specified change interval. The manual transmission has a drain plug in the base and a filler plug in the side that acts as a level guide.

The only reason to change the fluid I can think of is that you are worried about bits of metal circulating in the gear oil. If you want it changed, the dealer should be able to do it for you. Show him the section in your owner's manual that lists the fill capacities. MB uses a special fluid for the manual trans; the part number is 000-989-26-03

Yes I did a couple years ago as well as the rear diff fluid. I used Redline products. There are two socket hex head (allen) pipe plugs. One is on the bottom and one is on the side. New fluid made my car shift way better.
