MIP and IPhone 5 telephone use

S550 - 2010
MIP and IPhone 5 telephone use
I have a 2010 S550 and have followed all the instructions with MIP for connecting the device but fail to get the Commands telephone system to recognize MIP Plus as the phone to use as the device is connected to the MIP, I have upgraded the boot loader and the app using the updates.
Here are the details.
1. I removed my iPhone from the Command BT
2. Added MI Plus to the Command BT
3. Added my IPhone to the MI BT
4. I open the Telephone on Command and see that it does not have any telephone devices connected (even thought MI Plus shows up on the BT device List)
5. I try to connect to the MI Plus again in the Telephone BT device list and it says Connection Unsuccessful.
I am able to stream the songs, the SMS and Email read dont work but really dont care for that right now. I just want to be able to listen to the songs from BT and be able to use the phone from the Command. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
