Question MB C-class vs E-class reliability

Dear All,

Could you please help me to make decision regarding my first MB purchase?

I'm considering to buy C or E class station wagon.
It will be probably C200-C250 (1-2 years old) or E200-E250 (2-4 years old) car (I live in Europe ) with petrol engine and automatic gearbox.

The reliability parameter is very important for me (that's why I use Japanese only cars for the last 15 years). I checked a few sources of the statistical information about car reliability: TUV and ADAC (DE), J.D.Power (US) and Parkers.co.uk.

I found that C-class car reports look more uniform - the above-than-average positions are usual, but while the new (after 2009) E-class reliability is comparable with the C-class for J.D.Power, TUV and Parkers ratings, German ADAC shows significantly worse results.

I'd appreciate if you can help me to compare these two types of cars.

Thanks
