Car wont come out of drive
Hi, new member with my first c class 220 w203 2006. 85K
Only had the car a few weeks, its been a great experience until today.
Noticed that the car was pulling forward in "N" at the lights. (The lcd screen said I was in "N")
Then tried the car in "R" and it still pulled forward, even more so when I pressed the accelerator (Again the LCD screen said I was in "R")
Then also in park the same symptoms.
I applied the hand break and shut the engine down. Got out, locked the doors, left if a min, opened the doors and tried to start the engine.
It wont start, as I guess the car thinks its in drive, (Even though it showed "P" on the lcd screen)
Do any of you kind experts have any advice before I start forking out on costly fault finding?
Many thanks,
Fon

Well this is a bit complicated ... so the car is running forward no matter what gear you select ? ?
Well the simple thing i can think of is that the gear level cable is loose . So your are changing gears with the lever . Lcd recognizing it . But actually the transmission is not changing gears ...
