How to move from P to N without brake fluid?

Hi,
I have to replace brake lines just above the fuel tank, so I removed the 4 calipers, and decided to remove the fuel tank. For this, the muffler and drive shaft need to be gone too, and removing the drive shaft coupler implies to turn it to access all the bolts and nuts, but I can not move the shifter from P to N for that. I have been able to do it once but I think after pressing to many times on the brakes all the fluid left the hoses and I am no longer able to to do it again.
Do you think the solution is to put back some brake fluid or is there a trick to override the shifter?
Thanks

There is a 2 ways actualy .. one is by the shift lock in the shifter . The second is easier .. just take oit the brake light switch on the brake pedal . This way the ecu thinks you are lressing the brake pedal when ur actualy not pressing it .... and the shift lock will disengage
