servicing

last year my car got an 'A' service at 11500 miles. 12 months on, i have been told i will need a 'B' service. total mileage elapsed in this 12 month period. 3000 miles. As my car has nearly hit the 6 year mark other serviceable items will be replaced over the standard 'B' service due to age.

Really? 12 new spark plugs after only 14500 miles???? Is it necessary to have a full blown service after only 3000 miles?

It seems obscene

cheers

No need for spark plug change at 14k mi. Just change oil & filter, air filter and flush brake fluid & coolant every 3 yrs. Have the tech inspect the belts and hoses, brake pads.

Spark plugs should last 60-100k mi at least.

No,it's not absolutely necessary.

It would be prudent, however,to have the car serviced. All those parts have been on the job for six years. If you want to keep the car for a few more years, have the full service done.BTW-that few miles in 6 years is severe duty.I'd also strongly suggest a transmission service.
