Help, I have a 2006 S500 5.0 Basic 91K mileage. Car DOES NOT have pre-safe option however while driving I get an msg of presafe malfunction shows 1 msg. causes transmission to stay in lower gear. When I restart car show 0 msg. Trans shifts normal.
Yesterday when msg appeared car at first wouldn't go into reverse or drive. Put it in park then it went into drive & reverse. When I did the last oil change approx 4K miles I checked Socket at trans felt tight & NO leaks
Car is garage kept and everyday check floor-no fluid leaks. Has this happened to anyone else? I've looked at sticky notes and through a lot of threads, haven't read where anyone else experienced this problem...
