2003 SL500
Electrical question
I bought a 2003 SL500 last year and don't drive it much, maybe a few times a week. Went to start it a few days ago and put the key fob in and turn and I hear a click and starter does not turn over. Did a bunch of reading on this site and wasn't sure if I can just pull front battery out and have tested or if it will cause more damage, I know the rear battery runs everything else in the car. So thought I would put the question on here and see what the general thought is. Battery or starter ? Or something all together different ?

pulled battery, it had a sticker from 2012 and stopped by Interstate batteries they checked it and it had a bad cell on it -- still showed the 12 volts but no cranking Amps and they actually have a small Deep cycle sealed, so swapped it out and it started great. The battery is a little smaller but does fit and they have been useing these for the sand rails with the Corvett motors and less then half the price, 400 + cranking amps and Interstate makes the batteries for MB. So I thought I would try it and the biggest reason is that the closest MB is 3hrs away
