GLK Blink Spot Monitor Issue
Hello, my wife and I just recently purchased a 2014 GLK 350 with 15,000 miles. Everything has been going great except for the driver side blind spot monitor.
While traveling the driver side monitor will light up as if a vehicle was there, however, there is no vehicle there, and if using the blinker at one of the random moments it comes on, the car will start beeping at you. I have not found anyone having this issue and have not found a fix. It is almost as if the sensor is dirty maybe, I just don't have a clue how to find the sensor and clean it. The closets dealer is 2 hours away so I would like to fix it if it is minor. The sensor does work normally if a car is there, it just likes to constantly come one, maybe 2-3 times every two minutes. It is bad enough that we have to turn off the blind spot monitor to prevent this from happening.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
