![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
i have a 2000clk430
i had to replace one of my tail/brake lights the other day and found something very disturbing.
my left tail light bulb holder is different from my right tail light bulb holder.
the right side takes the bulbs that are specified in the manual but the left side takes a diffrent bulb.
the differences are in the studs on the base of the bulb...the correct ones mirror themselves in a V shape whereas the other mirror themselves directly across from eachother.
does the fact that the rear fog light is located on the left explain this inconsistency?
is this normal? please help!!

"the differences are in the studs on the base of the bulb...the correct ones mirror themselves in a V shape whereas the other mirror themselves directly across from eachother" I'm not sure what you are trying to explain/picture. All the lamp sockets are the same on each respective side but different from driver to passenger side? That does seem odd. The part number should be on the bulb carrier....maybe you have a Euro carrier on one side? Just guessing.
