2000 CLK430
engine vibration

i have a 2000 clk430 and have been in a few other mb's(03 sl500 and 00 cl500) and have felt a little vibration at idle in gear. it's nothing major...just a slight grumble a twitch once and a while. pretty sure it was not the engine mounts because there is never any noise or shaking of the shift knob.

in your opinion, is it normal of mb v8's to have this characteristic? i ve been in a viper and it does what i described above but just 3 times more than the mb.

p.s.
the idle is rock solid when this happens.
i ve been to the dealer and they said there is nothing wrong but i wanted to get the forum's opinion.

any feedback is welcomed.

No tis is normal with v8, but when the motor mounts to go you'll get a realy bad vibration. You'll alos think it's a misfire, its that bad and you realy wont feel it through the shifter.

Does not sound like he has a severe vibration. Doubt if its the motor mounts as it only occurrs at idle. Mounts will cause vibrations up into the power range
