Deleting TPMS-Can no longer be done???
I have a 2004 SL500 that I ordered with the optional Tire Pressure Monitoring System, which is nothing but trouble, which I would like to remove. Reading many old threads, it has been mentioned that the TPMS can be "turned off" or "deleted" from my car with use of a Star System.
Last week, my local, independent shop said that with some recent updates to the Star System software, the option to remove or turn off TPMS has been removed and it is no longer possible to do this.
Can anyone here tell me if thus is fact or BS?
