How to remove and replace TPS on 2002 CLK55?
I want to install the part #0125423317, throttle position sensor or TPS, located in the L engine subcompartment of my 2002 CLK55, next to the brake master cylinder. I found it to be failing according to a code check at Autozone and corresponding with the car not responding to accelerator pedal commands to accelerate at times and instead going into a limp home mode f/b slow acceleration. How do you remove and install this part exactly? I want to do it myself if I can, but need detailed instructions. Thanks in advance!

Can I have your old part? I'll pay shipping.
FYI, if you have not spent any money yet, ready my electrical system maintenance how to.
Codes mean nothing other than an open/faulty circuit, that does not equate to failed sensors in many cases.

It is directly next to this thread. How To: Electrical System...............
Read it and let it sink in.
After you read it, you'll understand why I bought my R129 without even looking up the VIN history. Here is a hint, when you look at a bunch of used cars, it is real easy to tell which car has been driven in the rain and which car has never been driven in the rain.
I got that one older dry car. And I will never drive it in the rain, not once. I don't run around the yard in the rain using a laptop and my SL is not getting wet either. I'm willing to bet as long as I own it, no sensor or electrical component will fail on me.
