CEL on with P0016 and P2006
Recently started getting intermitent CEL and now it stays on. I can remove the CEL with my scanner and they will stay off for a couple of driving hours.
The exact codes from my scanner are
P2006 intake manifold runner control stuck closed bank 1a
P0016 crankshaft position camshaft position correlation bank 1 sensor a
My independent place said I need a new intake manifold and that would be about $1,500 installed.
The P0016 is my bigger concern. I do not get the P0017, and also it does not come back on immediately. I am wondering if replacing the magnet(s) could fix this issue or if I actually have the bigger camshaft $$$$ problem.
Any insight you can provide would be appreciated. I am willing to spend some $ to fix as I need to clear code for smog, but also not going to dump $ into. 10 year old R class.
