Strange Ignition problem
Mercedes C180 2012 Auto.
Every morning my car develops a fault when I turn the ignition key (without starting engine) the screen displays a multitude of malfunctions and if you start the car no electrics work (as in radio/lights/wipers etc etc) no power steering and you cannot select drive. The routine I have is to simply turn the ignition key on/off several times (without starting) then eventually all power comes on and car will be fine and the fault disappears completely. I have had the car looked at and no faults were found however I had both batteries replaced but still fault remains.

I had an e350 due the same thing. Some of the ecu's aren't reading the key. I replaced the main battery in trunk and used the other key the customer had.
Since you replaced the batteries, try another key if you have one. You also may have to permanently clear all codes from all the ecu's. You'll need a scanner that can read all the computers.

I have tried the other key but it still seems to happen. I will try to get the computers scanned
