diesel additive- bs or helpful?

w211 e320 CDI, Stanadyne here as well. I mainly use it to improve lubricity of the diesel. I started using it back when i was driving 300k tdi golf. It helped that beast a lot with reduction of smoke. Since i had a bunch leftover when i got the CDI i did some research to make sure it was ok with common rail and started using it. Power increase- not sure... milage- maybe. I was getting 37 mpg highway before, 40 mpg now. However that coincides with temperature outside getting warmer so that is more likely the reason for mpg increase. Stanadyne actually manufactures injectors so i feel like i trust their additive products most. I don't expect miracles from it but if it can extend the life of my injectors I'm going to use it. I don't think it hurts.
