'76 mb 450 slc, '11 vw touareg
450 slc '76 driver side rear window regulator troubleshooting
Looking to repair my driver side rear window regulator... As window does not function. Any suggestions. By the way what is the purpose black round button for on that same panel? Thanks.

Yes it is thanks. How would I test motor to see if it's bad?

Yes I have worked on it before. Car has been in my family since 1977 I've had it for the last 20 years. Already had access panel off. Connected 9 volt battery two the window motor. All I hear is a clicking sound.

9 volt? Aren't the wires for the motor screwed on? Disconnect them & hook up 12 volts to the motor. Then change polarity. Also try tapping on motor while your doing it.
