Looking to repair my driver side rear window regulator... As window does not function. Any suggestions. By the way what is the purpose black round button for on that same panel? Thanks.

If it's a 107.024 both R and L rear motors are VIN dependent,therefore be watchful of spammers and scammers!!

Yes it is thanks. How would I test motor to see if it's bad?

The quickest way is simply remove the covering,disconnect the connector and apply 12v-----does the motor\window move---yes or no!

PS: Have you personally and regularly worked on this car or is this someting you wanted to do for a year or so!!

Yes I have worked on it before. Car has been in my family since 1977 I've had it for the last 20 years. Already had access panel off. Connected 9 volt battery two the window motor. All I hear is a clicking sound.

I would say that you have correctly diagnosed the problem!!

9 volt? Aren't the wires for the motor screwed on? Disconnect them & hook up 12 volts to the motor. Then change polarity. Also try tapping on motor while your doing it.
