2012 CLS550 4Matic Oil Change Observation
I decided to change my own oil today. I had already ordered in the required filter, proper mobil1, etc and I bought a Mity Vac to remove the oil from the top.
I was definitely overdue for an oil change. I also should have checked the level before I started. I also read something in the manual stating that this car USES oil. Like 1/2 quart every 600 miles. Is that possible???? I hope I read that wrong.
Anyway, the Mity Vac only sucked out 5.5 quarts of oil. I put back about 6.5 to 7 quarts. Supposedly the car needs about 8.5 or more quarts of oil.
The dipstick is now reading perfect.
So, I'm wondering where all the oil is or went. Lol.
Any thoughts on all of this?
