Hi, i have a 05 CDI 200k KMs that had a clogged CAT 2 months ago with P0299 (turbo underboost). I removed CAT filter and reinstalled empty CAT with ocassional limp mode and Exhaust Gas Recirculation code, with CEL every few days. One month later I now have a P0101 (MAF) with low high end power and black smoke at high end RPM. Now i noticed the 5 little wires connected on the MAF sensor had the metal somehow exposed (maybe i pulled too hard when i removed it previously) and perhaps touched one another. I taped the wires carefully and no more touching. However problem persists. Maybe this touching shorted out the MAF sensor..? I ordered a new one on ebay for 80 bucks but I want some opinions as to what it could be please.
