Exclamation 2007 S550 Transmission problems (RWD)

I did the conductor plate and valve body brand new about 2 months ago.

Went to the dealer for acceleration hesitation issues I've been noticing and they checked the car (Shop Foreman) pulled out some tranny fluid and they said it was burnt smelling and really dark. It shouldn't be because they just flushed out my system with the Conductor plate and valve body replacement.

So that leads them to the main tranny, clutches, or torque converter issues. they found some metal filings in the liquid pulled as well.

SO

What is the newest year that I can swap in to my 2007 S550? I would love to install a 2011 low miles tranny if its compatible.
Would also consider an AMG S63 or CL63 transmission if its compatible.

Thoughts?

Just read your comments regarding the Valve body problems, Since you replaced it back in 2016 did that resolve the issues, this seems to be a very serious and common issue with the 722.9 transmission, MB should issue a recall.
