E500 Electronics Issue
Hello,
My friend is having a problem with his E500 display electronics. He gets a message "display malfunction..visit workshop" then the car goes dead. He has no electronic functions except door locks (fuel, Nav, audio, etc are DEAD)
The options on the car are appearance package & premium package. Are there any known issues/problems with the display electronics in the E500?

It might be an optical link (Domestic Digital bus) problem.
I think the door locks work on the wired CAN bus.
Looks like a dealer project.
