Crank no start; tried usual fixes

My 2002 c320 w203 died on me 2 wks ago while driving home at red light. Right when it died my instrument screen flashed alternator/battery fault/ malfunction. I try to start it no luck so push it out of traffic up hill no less. I get tired and try start it it cranks over I'm gone. 10 min later it does the same. I get home got codes on it ( misfire in 1 and running lean) and decide to check plug wires for spark, I have spark but I have a old wires that have a crack in it. Instead of getting wires I put shrink tubing on this works. But that isn't my trouble this goes on 2 more times in 5 hour period then dies finally. So I'm thinking fuel pump, fuel filter because I have no pressure on rail. Long story short I changed crankshaft sensor, plugs not wires, found some vacuum leaks on fuel injectors( cracked hoses) replaced them, fuel pump, fuel filter. Still nothing. I've been able to get it running briefly. No pressure on rail still checked relay it's good I think it clicked. Are relay supposed to rattle when shook? Not fuel pump relay but 6 pin relay in rear the one by itself opposite other relays in back block. Help !
