722.9 Valve Body From Different Vehicle Programmable or Not?

Trying to decipher between the different claims of whats doable and whats not.

Can a valve body/conductor plate from one vehicle be installed and scn coded to a different vehicle?

Dealer says no, seems like others say yes.

The vehicle in question is a 2004 CL500 with burned up clutches but no apparent electronic issues. (no codes, just massive slipping and clutch material in the pan)

Installing 53k mile transmission out of another 04, would like to keep the low mile valve body and plate but is programming possible?

I know I can swap my original valve body and conductor plate into the low mile trans but would rather not if its possible to keep the low mile parts.

Some hands on experience based recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Didn't mean to leave this thread unfinished.

The answer to my original question is Yes, a transmission can be taken from one 722.9 car and put into another 722.9 car as a whole, with the valve body and conductor plate kept intact, and be used in the car complete.

The donor transmissions tcu needs to be reset to virgin status, the scn code needs to be pulled from the original tcu and loaded into the donor transmissions tcu.

This absolutely can be done. I've done it several times since I started this post last year.

you have to purchase either an FVDI or some locksmithing programs. The FVDI is the cheaper way to do it.
