A45 Smoke Issue in sports mode
A45 smoke issue!!
Newbie.... purchased an a45 in Jan this year 2014 model.
I have had an issue when driving for about 2miles in sports mode in traffic running about 1.5 rpm. For some reason it bellows out white smoke for about 10 sec and then clears only on the left exhaust?? Has anyone else had this issue?? Mercy have told me to monitor it. But I am booking it in for a health check asap..
My theory is that it's dumping fuel because I've not put my foot down for pop bang...
Any sensible thoughts welcome.. cheers in advance.

If white smoke is thin then it can nothing to be concerned about it. This kind of smoke disappears quickly. However thicker smoke is a big issue and can be caused the engine burning coolant. This can be the result of a serious issue like a blown head gasket, a damaged cylinder head, or a cracked engine block, all these issues are costly repairs.
