280c

I've just found a 1975 280C for sale. 136K miles. I took a test drive it ran good. Has new radiator, wiring, etc. However needs a few things and leaks a little transmision fluid. Body is in good shape, a couple of minor dings and then a dent in the drivers door. Not too bad. Decent paint. The bad news is the interior. Needs alot of work on the inside.
What would be a decent price for such a car? What should I examine prior to buying should I decide to do so. I had high hopes and then I saw the inside.
What's the performance of the 280C?
Thanks in advance
Pike

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
if the interior is so bad it is a sign of abuse...plus it is very old. expect to pay no more than a couple of hundred bucks. it is a 75 280c...i dont think you should be expecting much performance out of a vehicle of that type or age.

Thanks

I appreciate your input. The interior has taken a beaten. The seats were attempted to be recovered; however, it didn't turn out the best. Also a stero was attempted to be installed and that too didn't turn out so well.
They are asking $1200 for it and I'm not willing to pay that so he asked me to make an offer.
One website (collector car market guide) listed at $700 for its condition. What should I offer or should I just pass it by. I'm needing a car to get to and from work (10 miles each way) for 3 months while I'm TDY for the military. However, would there be a resale market for this car?

Thanks
Pike

honestly, i think you should just move on. think about it...if the interior looks that bad and it is in plain sight...imagine what else is wrong that you cant see. in terms of resale value, i would say it has almost none. good luck with whatever you decide to do, keep me informed.
