C180 Kompressor Station Wagon
2007, C180 Kompressor Station Wagon

Hi there
i have a 2007, C180 Kompressor Station Wagon.
I brought it 2nd hand at 92,000kms (I am from New Zealand).
It is now at 142,000kms and one of the engine adjusters (clogs in the motor) have worn down. I found this out when the check engine light came on and it was investigated.
My Mercedes mechanic said that this can happen from irregular servicing however I have serviced the vehicle regularly since purchasing as it was part of the requirement for my extended warranty that ran out only 5 months ago;-(
Does anyone know if this is a common problem with this make and model of vehicle?
I am considering getting it repaired but not if this is likely to happen again with the use of a 2nd hand motor.
I love my car but not if it's not worth repairing.
Any comments would be much appreciated;-)
