O3 SL500 Glove box lid won't latch

SL500
O3 SL500 Glove box lid won't latch



I wondering if any one has some advice my new to me SL 500 glovebox lid will not latch. It appears that the metal latch clip on the lid does not line up with the latch. It appears to me that the metal clip on the lid is in backwards I have attached two photos to show my issue. Can anyone help?
