Whistling sound E55 engine

Whistling sound E55 engine

There is a whistling sound on my E55 engine? When i press the gas there seems to be a whistling sound. It's no a major problem but has anyone experienced this? Advise?

Yes !!! I noticed that same noise when i don't start my Slk if more then 4 days.

Hey Linh!

I thought you had a CLK did you just buy your SLK? Anyways what's with the sound?? Should i be worried about it or what? It actually sounds like it's a supercharger whistle.

JamE55...

I still have the 99' Slk sport and also just a silver 01' Clk 430 six month ago. Anyway, the noise is due to parking the car to long and all the oil is drain completely down. Sometime, the belts also produces this kindna noise when park too long. Try starting the car everyday just to see if this problem still exist.

JamE55....Yes!! I will be there but i'll be driving my SLK instead of the CLK because nothing beat driving with the top down on a sunny weekend!!!!! Would you think?
