Is this the magic diagnostic scanner?

Been hunting for the best scanner for my UK version 1999 312d sprinter 4x4 and 2001 311cdi 4x4 for a while now ... both 14 socket and 1999 pre obd11... . been considering http://www.carsoft.com/single-brand/...12-system.html (which phone call confirmed as doing both) for a while but needs laptop as well and specific just to merc....

Today came across this.... everything needed in one package

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-INCH-D...MAAOSwX9FZNuzL

all the guys other items also scanners.... He replied to message saying yes does 1999 wdb9034612p933743

seems really good does my 1999 sprinter and other makes as well... any thoughts or comments welcome.. Mark

2015 GLK350
Question

Quick question guys. I recently got the P0451 code on my 2015 GLK350. I took it to the dealer being almost certain that the purge valve for the canister had failed, but the "Service Advisor" actually Cleared the Code before even asking me. Could you please clarify if the clearing of the code just erases the memory of the diagnostic system, or if it changed the trigger point for the warning by establishing a possibly bad condition as "normal".

The dealer guy said if the condition returns, the light should come on again, but I just don't fully trust them.

Thanks for your help!

Had a peugeot which went limp mode .. throttle fault.. had it reset...happened again .. reset.. happened again eventually realised happened when doing drag start.. stopped over revving stopped faulting... reset just turns fault code memory off till same thing happens again...... cheaper tobuy a cheap code reader reset than pay garage
