yet another 722.6 problem - wirring noise
It seems like i have been cursed or something... So, last year, w209 CLK320 gearbox decided it was time to die. Long story short, radiator, converter and gearbox were professionnally replaced with a brand new radiator and remanufactured converter and gearbox.
1 year later, after basically 6000 miles of highway usage at or under authorized speed, nearly no city driving, and right after a 200 miles trip, i got a new annoying noise and that sound expensive.
It is a whirring noise, that seems proportionnal to engine revs, but only on the first 3 speeds. and on neutral, and park. The noise pitch changes when in neutral and switching from winter to summer mode. It kinds of disappear when going 4th gear and higher, and it clearly reappears when the gearbox downshifts from 4th to 3 and under.
Now, since i had to threaten the remanufacturer shop owner with legal action just to get the bill, i guess it will at least require to burn down his house with his family inside and make him watch to have him fix it under warranty. Especially since he wrote "1 year warranty", which has expired like 2 weeks ago - but has no value as legal warranty is at least 2 years in Europe. And anyway, arson and murder is not something i want to do, ever.
So please, someone tell me this is a known minor problem that will not require another gearbox change
