hey!! my grandma(yes my grandma, im 15) owns a 2001 SL500, and a lot of noises developed in both of the doors, once in a while they pop and crack over bumps, but they always make the sounds when turning into a driveway where the car "bends" and "twists". its a very loud crack/pop in the doors, but it doesnt do it with the windows rolled down(???) Also, when you take off from a stop, you can feel and hear something under the car pop and crack(at least thats where it feels and sounds like its coming from)...anybody else have these problems and what do you think the sounds are??thanks!!!

I suggest that your grandmother take a test ride with her service advisor and get this small problem straightened out as soon as possible. my 03 accord does this as well and they lubricated some things in the door and it was gone. nevertheless im sure it is an easy fix that shouldnt take much time.

129 chassis cars are also prone to loose window regulator rivets, usually right in the middle of the door.
