SRS Fault B1010 after spilled coffee in rear seat

SRS fault after large coffee (triple venti whole milk vanilla latte) spilled in back seat, most of it fell through the seat belt's recess hole. I removed the seat cushion and noise dampening insulation and dried the parts. Liquid was found puddled around a cable connection, and metal cylinder attached to the seat belt. I believe that's the pretensioner. The seat belt part number that was drenched is 2038600269 Gurtschloss Gurtlasche Schloss Seat Belt 95018.

I was able to read the DTC code and I was also able to clear the code.

My question is, with the code cleared and no new codes generated, should i undertake any additional testing of the parts or does the on board computer perform adequate diagnostics on its own?

MB Model: W203 2002 C240
The DTC code that was cleared showed the following:
B1010
The ignition circuit with component R12/6(Left rear ETR ignition squib) has Short circuit to ground.
DTC Status:
Stored

Code is cleared and not "current". You should be good to go using the on board diagnostics.
