sunroof lube
instead of buying the mb stuff from the dealer to lube the rails i used mobil 1 grease/lube from the auto parts store. i put it on and so far it is working fine.
any opinions on this? did i royally mess up my car or is it okay? please help. |

Since Gleitpaste is so expensive, dealers and Independents may use something cheaper like a spray that Audi dealers use. Which is the Gleitpaste? Is it the white paste, or is it the yellowish thick glue-like substance? The lube I use for the sunroofs is the glue-like lube, I've never tried using the paste. The paste works good for stopping leather rubbing noises (squeaks).
