300CE-24
front wheels question

having just fitted my 300ce-24 with 16in*7.5 rims with 215/55 tires , i discovered that the drivers side wheel is approximately 10mm further back than the other. The suspention alignment experts told me that this is how they are set up,and that their is no adjustment. Is this all true? because i am now experiencing a tire rubbing problem where the tire rubs on the plastic protector garde on the arch , when hitting the larger bumps.

I am not positive, but I believe the W124 has a caster adjustment for the front. This would affect the forward/backward position of the wheel within the wheel well.

It could also be a bushing being worn.
