2010 E350 Coupe
Angry Replacement ESL stuck in limbo because MB USA website is broken?!?!

Let me start by saying I found a steal of deal on my 2010 E350 coupe with ONLY 60k miles on it. I bought it on 7/26/2018. On 8/24/2018 the Electronic Steering Lock failed and the car simply wouldn't start anymore (which is apparently a known issue with that exact part number but has not been recalled). On 8/25 I had my car towed to my local Mercedez Certified mechanic (Motoring Specialists) in Vacaville, CA to have the non-start issue diagnosed. They identified the ESL as the source of the issue and began all the necessary paperwork to receive the new ESL (which is a Theft Relevant Part) from Mercedez Benz which they have done before without this much trouble for other vehicles. It is now 9/12/2018 (18 days later) and the new ESL is STUCK in limbo the parts departed at the Fairfield Mercedez-Benz dealership because the required forms are failing to submit on the StarTekInfo.com website (which is owned/operated by the Mercedes-Benz USA to process these parts). My mechanic has received NO callbacks or email from the StarTekInfo/Mercedes-Benz USA regarding their broken website and the Fairfield Mercedes-Benz dealership has thus far stated they cannot release the part until they receive the form from Mercedes-Benz USA without risking their ability to purchase TRP parts in the future. The ESL arrived at the Fairfield dealership on Thursday September 6th and has my vehicle repair has by now been delayed for an additional 6 days (and counting) because Mercedes-Benz Corporate will not A) Fix their website. Or B) Email/fax the required form to Fairfield Mercedes Dealership to release the part to my mechanic. Unless I am mistaken, this is a violation of the Right To Repair act on top of being a known failure of this part. My mechanic said at this rate of response I may not be able to get my car back for WEEKS. Has anyone else had so much trouble getting their car fixed?

I LOVE my car and I just want it back and working again... but this is getting ridiculous.
