Blocking egr

Hi everyone,

i have got a question regarding blocking the egr valve. Engine is om642.950. The exhaust pipe is dividing right behind the turbo. Thats where the egr pipe is connected. The blanking plate can be fitted over there. Another option i am thinking of is where the egr pipe after the cooling block gets connected to the accelerator valve, that is where intercooler pipe gets connected to.
Question is if there is any difference if i blank it next to the accelerator valve block and not behind the turbo? It is much easier to access it at the front of the engine.
(I know the egr has to be erased on ecu prior to banking it.)

Thanks everyone for taking time reading my question and suggestions.
