torque convertor

I have a mercedes C350 Automatic 2013
It started juddering between first and second gears. The garage said the GB has gone and needed replacing. Which they did. Still didn't fix the juddering. Now they saying the torque convertor has failed. And that failure could have been what damaged the GB originally This has now being going on for 2 months :-(

Am I being sold down the river or is there any truth in this

could be then maybe not...
hard to tell from here.
If TQ was bad you would feel it pretty much all the time until lock up speed which I do not know but usually around 2000 rpm.
So in between all gear shifts.

TQ failure is rare thing.
Go for second opinion at tranny specialists.

PS what is GB?

well if they replaced gearbox would they not check TQ?
I mean every tranny guy I know if they replace the tranny gives it a new TQ since it will not be filled with dirty oil.
