Xentry

I can buy an expired version of xentry for diagnostic work, the seller says he just sets the computer clock back to the license period. He is selling it for less than what I could get an autel system for. My question is, with xentry can i reprogram my Sam's or can I reprogram keys? What are the limitations of xentry?

Yes, just make sure that the Xentry version is older than your car model year and make sure the "key" is still valid with at least 3-5 years of validity.

First of all... you can not program keys with Xentry, unless the vehicle is 2015+ and you have the right access to Mercedes servers. Second, if your Xentry update is old and you try to program with it, it will get blocked. Third, in order for you to program and code with Xentry/Das you will need access to online server. There is a solution for Offline programming but you have to be careful of what modules you program because they might need SCN coding after programming. Ther is no solution for offline SCN.

Basically it would be a really in depth diagnostic tool, but when it comes to programming leave it to the professionals.

And also you need to update your xsentry to the latest software to do any M.E or transs update
