One Quick Question -
I ordered a $28 peice of plastic that covers the track that my power driver's seat sits on on June 21.
I went in with the part, and gave the kind sage at teh counter my VIN number and the part number off the broken peice, whcih i had on the counter.
He said that was not the right peice (it was the original stock peice, never before switched.) he orders me a different one he says will fit. i agree.
i pay $28.50
2 days later, i get the phone call that the new peice is in. I go and get it, and sure enough, it does not fit.
i bring it back, this time a new parts guy helps me, and says he'll order the right part, same price.
this was 2 weeks ago, i ordered it wednesday June 23, it is now Sat July 3.
still have not gotten the phone call that it's in... does it usually take this long????
should i call the dealership?
It's strange that they ignored the homework you did, providing the part number and such, though sometimes the replacement part can have a new number because of improvements made to a part.
The same covers on my car are mangled, but I choose not to replace them because they can't survive the kicking received from rear passengers who really have no decent leg room.
